Beat Diabetes is a public service initiative by the Landmark Group to increase awareness about diabetes and help more people lead healthy live.The 14th Nov is World Diabetes Day (WDD)to mark the birthday of Frederick Banting who, along with Charles Best, first conceived the idea which led to the discovery of insulin in 1922.
Open to all ages, this walkathon is part of the on-going corporate social responsibility (CSR) health initiative that was launched in 2010 here in Oman to spread awareness on Diabetes.
The walk will take place in Qurum Natural Park on the 22nd Nov @8am onwards with alot of other fun activites happening on the day.
