I sort of resisted publishing this, but then since this is a event tell all blog I decided to post it up.
'Make-up n Apparel Contest 2013', organised by Hi Team and presented by Sabbat Ayam and Max Factor in association with Aster (on November 15 at Al Noor Hall), promises to be a magical event of colour and beauty at its best." Source
A lot of women have makeup studios in their houses, which are their small enterprise businesses. This contest would act as a stepping-stone for such wonders that are yet to be found.
The contest provided an opportunity to all women in the Sultanate to flaunt their expertise in the world of fashion, something they have always been doing for themselves (sometimes, for others) while dressing up for functions or festivals.
The Judges for the event were;
Hajer Al Balushi
Fashion designer & fashion lecturer at Higher College of TechnologyShe teaches design and collection making. She has her own collection called 'Ready to wear Luxury'. Her new collection is going to be launched soon.
Zulfa Al Barwani
Creative owner of Al-Lilac Beauty Centre, Spa & Cosmetics
She has many years experience as a qualified makeup artist & beauty specialist following many years of training. Her knowledge of the makeup & beauty industry is vast. She has judged many beauty pageants before.
Antara Bose
Corporate relations executive, Al Raffa Hospital.
Her passion is modelling and has been modelling for the past 5 years and has worked with different local as well as international designers.
