Oman International Trade and Exhibitions (OITE) is anticipating a successful first International Travel Hospitality Show (ITHS) due to the expansion in Oman’s inbound and outbound tourism sector.
The International Travel & Hospitality show presents perfect opportunities for both local and international Travel, Tourism and Hospitality companies to promote inbound, domestic, outbound and international tourism. This event is also a first time opportunity to showcase Oman’s unique and warm hospitality to both local and international visitor.The inaugural show will take place at the Oman International Exhibition Centre on 15-17th December. source

In other updates the infrastructure works for the redevelopment of the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center has been awarded to Khalid Bin Ahmed and Sons — Al Habib Joint Venture. The redeveloped convention centre is expected to give Oman its first space for large-scale international exhibitions and conferences.
The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre will become an iconic landmark for the city of Muscat and the Sultanate.The first phase will be ready by 2015. source
The Oman government’s investment arm responsible for developing tourism infrastructure, has agreed the infrastructure works package will include the building of 4.4 km of single carriageway roads, 1.3 km of dual carriageway roads, six roundabouts, irrigation and electrical networks and telecommunication ducts" source
